Deb’s love affair with photography began when she received her first Kodak Box Brownie for her 11th birthday. After many years of filling photo albums her enthusiasm waned until the phenomenon of the digital age opened an exciting new range of photographic possibilities. She now spends as much time in front of the monitor as she does behind the camera lens.
In 2007 Deb staged a tribute to New Zealand showing at Angela Jayne’s Coffee, Food, Art in Drummoyne. In 2008 she conducted a second very successful showing at AJ’s concentrating on her specialty photo-art compilations, was awarded a High Commendation for her entry at the Royal Arts Competition and sold a ‘coffee table collection’ to a family in Italy as well as several large pieces to offices in the Inner West.
This year Deb has already completed a commission for 7 pieces which are now happily adorning the office walls of a Jakarta based communications company; she has plans for this year’s AJ’s showing and is looking to spread her creative wings globally. |
